What It's Like to Work With Me
Your wedding ceremony should feel like you—not like a script pulled from a book. My role is to get to know you, listen to your story, and create a ceremony that feels meaningful, personal, and true to the two of you.
We begin with a conversation
We'll meet, usually by Zoom (my preference) or phone, and talk about your hopes for the ceremony, what you'd like included, what you'd rather leave out, and how you imagine the day feeling. It's also a chance for us to get to know one another and see if we're a good match. I believe that connection matters.
Once you've decided I'm your officiant, I'll make it easy
I'll send you an electronic agreement and information about the retainer. Once everything is completed, your wedding date is officially reserved for you. No complicated paperwork or running around required.
I'll guide you from beginning to end
You don't have to know how to create a wedding ceremony. That's my job. I'll walk you through the process, answer your questions, help you understand the marriage license requirements, and keep track of the details along the way. I've got you.
I'll ask you to share your story
The best ceremonies come from knowing the people I'm marrying. I'll give you a couple of simple things to think about and share with me. Your answers help me understand what brought you together, what you love about each other, and what makes your relationship uniquely yours.
I'll help you with your vows (private and/or public)
Writing vows can feel wonderfully exciting—and sometimes completely intimidating! If you want to write your own, I'll offer guidance and ideas to help you find the words. If you're not sure what to say, we'll figure that out together. I can share examples and possibilities until your vows sound like you.
We'll create the ceremony together
I'll write the first draft, drawing from what you've shared with me. Then we'll fine-tune it together. We can add, change, remove, rearrange, laugh, rethink, and polish until you read it and think, "Yes. This is us."
I'll be there to tell your story
On your wedding day, I'll bring the ceremony to life with warmth, presence, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm. I don't simply show up and read a script. I feel honored to be part of this moment, and I want that to come through in the way I tell your story and celebrate your commitment.
I'll take care of the paperwork afterward
Once you're married, I'll make sure your marriage license is properly completed and submitted according to the requirements of the town your ceremony is performed.This documents will be mailed certified to you.
And I'll help you with what comes next
After the ceremony, I'll send you information about obtaining certified copies of your marriage certificate and, if applicable, changing your name, insurance purposes or anywhere you need to prove you are married.
And one more little thing...
After your wedding, I'll send you a copy of your ceremony along with a personal note from me. After spending time getting to know you and creating your ceremony together, I often feel a genuine connection with my couples. I love having one last opportunity to tell you how honored I was to be part of your day and to wish you well as you begin this next chapter together.

About Me...
For more than four decades, I have been accompanying people through some of life's most meaningful moments.
My work as a wedding officiant, interfaith minister, somatic yoga and movement therapist, and teacher has given me a deep appreciation for the passages that shape our lives—the moments when we pause, look back, look forward, and say yes to something new.
I came to understand early in my career that whether I'm working with someone through movement or standing with a couple as they make their wedding vows, the heart of my work is the same: being present, listening deeply, and creating space for something meaningful to unfold.
As a somatic movement and yoga therapist, I have spent decades helping people listen to their bodies, discover greater ease, and reconnect with their own inner wisdom. As an officiant, I bring that same quality of presence to the couples I marry. I listen for what is underneath the words—the story, the love, the humor, the challenges overcome, and the qualities that make their relationship uniquely theirs.
I believe a wedding ceremony is more than a beautiful moment in a beautiful place. It is a threshold. It is a chance to stop, take a breath, gather the people who matter most, and consciously acknowledge that something is changing.
That understanding shapes the ceremonies I create.
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all weddings. I believe in ceremonies that resonate and sound like the people standing in front of me. Some are traditional, some are spiritual, some are lighthearted, some are deeply intimate, and many are a beautiful blend. Whatever your vision, I work with you to create words and rituals that feel authentic to who you are and what you believe.
I have found the importance of listening to the subtle things, the things that aren't always said out loud. I bring that listening into every couple's story. My goal is to create a ceremony where you can relax into the moment, feel fully present, and recognize yourselves in the words being spoken.
I feel incredibly fortunate to do this work. Every couple brings a new story, a new perspective on love, and a new reminder that there are many ways to create a meaningful life together.
